Global Panchang is a free panchang for any city in the world. By using the website, the app, the calendar feeds or the widget, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Important: please read

Global Panchang is for general and cultural information only. Dates, times, muhurtams and personal readings are calculated by software and may be wrong: because of a bug, a data or time-zone error, your device's clock or location setting, or because your temple or family follows a different rule. Panchangams also differ from one another by a few minutes and sometimes by a day. Always confirm important dates and times with your priest or temple before you act on them. You use the information at your own risk.

1. The service

Global Panchang calculates tithi, nakshatra, yoga, karana, sunrise, sunset, moonrise, kalams, festivals, vrats, eclipses and suggested muhurtams from astronomical formulas for the place you choose, following traditional rules as we understand them. It is provided free of charge. We may change, suspend or stop any part of it at any time without notice.

2. Accuracy: no guarantee

We work hard to be accurate and cross-check our results against leading published panchangams, but we do not guarantee that any date, time, rule or text is correct, complete or current. In particular:

Times depend on the city, coordinates and time zone selected. A wrong city, an automatic location guess, or a daylight-saving change can shift results.
Festival and vrat dates follow one set of rules. Your region, sampradaya, temple or family may observe a different day.
Reminders, notifications and calendar feeds can be late, missing or blocked by your device, browser or calendar app. Do not rely on them alone.
Guide pages, stories and translations are written with care but may contain mistakes.

3. Religious, astrological, medical and other advice

Muhurtam suggestions, Tarabalam, Chandrabalam, Chandrashtamam, "My Day" ratings and similar features are traditional calculations offered for cultural and informational purposes. They are not a prediction or a promise of any outcome, and they are not professional advice of any kind. For weddings, gruha pravesam, upanayanam, naming, travel and other important events, consult your priest or a qualified astrologer.

Fasting, food and other practices described on the site are not medical advice. Consult a doctor before fasting if you are unwell, pregnant or nursing, elderly, diabetic, or taking medication. Nothing on the site is legal, financial or tax advice.

4. Eclipses: eye safety

Never look directly at the Sun, including during a partial or annular solar eclipse, without certified solar viewing glasses (ISO 12312-2) or a proper solar filter. Ordinary sunglasses are not safe. Eclipse times are calculated estimates; check your local astronomical authority.

5. Priests and ceremonies

Priests listed in Global Panchang are independent. They are not our employees, agents or partners, and we do not verify their identity, qualifications, licences, background or the quality of their services. Any arrangement, dakshina, payment, travel or dispute is solely between you and the priest. Global Panchang takes no fee, is not a party to those arrangements and is not responsible for them. Please use your own judgment and meet in safe settings.

Priests who create a profile confirm that the information is true and that they may lawfully offer their services. They give us permission to show their profile in the service, and we may edit, hide or remove any profile or request at our discretion.

6. Optional accounts and your content

You may sign in to sync your data between devices. You are responsible for the information you add (including other people's names and birth stars, which you add with their permission) and for keeping your email or Google account secure. You can delete your account data at any time from More → Your profile. Our privacy policy explains how information is handled.

Temples and websites may embed the free widget and use the calendar feeds as provided, without changing the results or removing the Global Panchang name. They are provided as-is and may change or stop. Links to other websites and services (for example Google, calendar apps or maps) are for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Acceptable use

Please do not misuse the service: no attempts to disrupt or overload it, access other people's data, scrape it at scale, or copy and redistribute its code or content as your own. Sharing the daily cards and links with family and friends is welcome.

THE SERVICE AND ALL INFORMATION IN IT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, AVAILABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GLOBAL PANCHANG, ITS OWNER, OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS AND REVIEWERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF MONEY, BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS, TRAVEL, EVENTS, DATA, OR ANY PERSONAL, RELIGIOUS OR EMOTIONAL HARM, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE, ANY ERROR IN IT, OR ANY DEALINGS WITH A PRIEST OR OTHER THIRD PARTY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Global Panchang and its owner and operators from claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, the content you add, your violation of these terms, or your dealings with priests or other users.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before any formal claim, please email us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any dispute that remains will be heard only in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

14. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. Translations are for convenience; if they differ, the English version applies.

15. Changes

We may update these terms; the effective date above will change when we do. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
