Global Panchang is built to work without an account and to keep what you enter on your own device. This page explains exactly what is stored, where, and why.

We do not sell, rent or share your information for advertising. There are no ads and no ad trackers.

Information kept on your device

The app stores your chosen city, language and display settings, and anything you add (people with their nakshatra and rashi, places, starred festivals, important dates, muhurtam choices) in your browser's local storage. It stays on that device and is removed if you clear the site's data in your browser.

Optional account

You can sign in with Google or with a sign-in link sent to your email. When you do, we store your email address, an account ID, and copies of the items listed above so they sync between your devices. With Google sign-in we receive only your name, email address and profile picture from Google, and we use only the email address. We never see or store your Google password.

Account data is stored with Supabase, our database provider, in the United States, and is protected so that each account can read only its own data.

Deleting your data: in the app, open More → Your profile → "Delete my account data". To remove your sign-in record as well, email globalpanchang@gmail.com from the address you signed in with, and we will delete it within 30 days.

Analytics

We use Umami to count visits anonymously. It sets no cookies and does not identify you. It records the page or screen viewed, the referring site, browser, device type and country, and a few feature events (for example "nakshatra added", "share card", "festival opened") without any names, nakshatras, birth details or other personal information.

Calendar feeds you add from Alerts contain only your city and the kinds of events you chose, not personal information.

Children

Global Panchang is a general-audience service and is not directed at children under 13. Children's names and nakshatras that parents add stay on the parent's device, or in the parent's account if they sign in.

Changes

If we change how information is handled, we will update this page and its effective date. Significant changes will also be noted in the app.
