A mixed week. Monday and Thursday are the steadiest. Tuesday and Friday the most watchful.

How we read it
- Each day: the nature of the Moon’s nakshatra at the opening bell. Fixed, swift and gentle stars read steady; moving and mixed stars read mixed; fierce and sharp stars read watchful. Amavasya on a trading day reads watchful.
- Each sector: the strength of its ruling planet this week. Exalted or in its own sign helps; debilitated, combust (too close to the Sun) or retrograde weighs on it.
- The country: this week’s planets on the national chart, and any slow planet (Saturn, Jupiter, Rahu, Ketu) passing over its birth Moon.
Planets from Astronomy Engine with the Lahiri ayanamsa (the same engine as our panchang); mean Rahu.

Questions
What is financial astrology?
Financial astrology reads planetary movements for markets and money. In the Vedic tradition it is Medini Jyotisha, the astrology of nations: each planet rules sectors of the economy, and its transits are read on the horoscope of a country. Our full guide is at globalpanchang.com/financial-astrology.
Is this a stock market prediction for Nifty or the S&P 500?
No. It is the classical astrological reading of the week, worked out the same way every week from the planets. It does not predict prices, and it is not investment advice.
Can astrology predict the stock market?
There is no scientific evidence that it can. This page shows how the classical tradition (Medini Jyotisha) reads the week’s planets for a country and its markets. It is a cultural reading, not a forecast; please do not trade on it.
Does India have a horoscope (jatakam)?
Yes. Mundane astrologers use the moment of independence, 15 August 1947 at midnight in Delhi. Its lagna is Vrishabha (Taurus) and its Moon is in Karkata (Cancer), in Pushya nakshatra, with five planets in Karkata.
What is the USA’s horoscope?
The most used chart is for 4 July 1776, about 5:10 PM in Philadelphia (the “Sibly” chart). With the Lahiri ayanamsa its lagna is Vrishchika (Scorpio) and its Moon is in Kumbha (Aquarius). Other birth times are also used.
Which planet rules which sector?
Traditionally: Jupiter banks and finance, Mercury IT and telecom, Venus autos and luxury, Mars metals and real estate, the Sun government and power, Saturn oil and heavy industry, the Moon FMCG and silver.
