Questions
Which Hindu festivals are in December 2026 in the UK?
Karthika Somavaram: Dec 7; Subrahmanya Shashti: Dec 14; Vaikunta Ekadashi: Dec 20.
Why are some dates in the UK different from India?
A festival is fixed by the tithi at the right time of day (sunrise, sunset, moonrise and so on) in your own city. UK is 4½ to 15½ hours away from India, so the same tithi can fall on a different local day. This month 4 of 12 days differ from India.
